Tour of the Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral grounds

JUNIA ALUMNI invites you to discover the surroundings of Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral on Thursday May 23, 2024 at 7pm.

Even if it's still impossible to get inside the building, the cathedral's rich exteriors enable the CASA association to offer a very comprehensive tour, covering a wide range of subjects from the choice of site at the time of construction to the current post-fire worksite. You'll leave with a good understanding of the history of Notre-Dame de Paris.

Who are the CASA volunteers?

Founded over fifty years ago, the CASA association is called upon by the clergy in many French churches to ensure that visitors are well informed about the history, architecture and decoration of these monuments, and understand their Christian significance.

Passionate about their work on the cathedral, some of our team members have undertaken research projects, some at Masters or PhD level, and contributed to the most recent and prestigious publications on the cathedral.

How long does a visit last?

There's no fixed length for a tour; it's adapted to the needs and wishes of the visiting group.

Meet in front of the cathedral, near the statue of Notre-Dame, at the appointed time.

The visit is free of charge, but a donation to the CASA association is gratefully received to support the volunteers in their work.

The visit continues in a bar for a convivial moment over a drink together.
